GFX Card Update: Gigabyte AORUS RTX 3080 Xtreme Waterforce Rev 2.0
I have been waiting to upgrade my GFX card for a long time and since the soft tubing update I have been waiting for an opportunity to get a GFX card with an integrated water block. There is currently a stock shortage for PC hardware and GFX cards at the time of writing this are overpriced and hard to find. After many weeks of checking I finally managed to see one in stock which meets all my requirements, the Gigabyte AORUS GeForce RTX 3080 XTREME WATERFORCE WB 10G rev 2.0 graphics card. It looks good and will go well with my PC / water loop setup however there isn’t much info online in terms of reviews and temperatures. The design features look interesting with mention of a cooper base plate which makes contact with all the hot spots on the PCB as shown by Gigabyte in the image below, so I’m hoping this will be a very cool addition to my PC.
When it arrives I’ll provide some actual pictures and when I get 2 more compression fittings for the soft tubing I will simply cut and re-attach to the RTX 3080 to make it part of the current water loop. In my previous post you will see I already have a tube running over my current GFX card which was planned for such an occasion.
