My connection reset with the download speed increasing from 67 to 68Mbps, still 20Mbps upload and interleaved mode. Also noticed some odd issues with the Vodafone router, sometimes it will go very slow with the CPU usage spiking to 99%, this clears after a few minutes and seems to only occur when using some of the other features / services but I need to do more testing.

Testing the VPN settings

  • PPTP server worked fine
  • L2TP server could not get to work

Tried both under Windows 10, in L2TP mode the device would not connect to the router, will investigate further.

Using a D-link DIR615 with DD-WRT firmware for wireless

To resolve the wireless issues I am temporarily using an old router for wireless connectivity. This only runs at 2.4Ghz but the signal strength is far superior along with the settings available.
