Creative SXFI Air Gamer Headset Review

The Creative SXFI Air Gamer Headset which comes with USB-C connection, Bluetooth 5.0, 3.5mm line in and a MicroSD slot for MP3s. It supports direct plug and play without any drivers for Windows 10, Android phones and I tried in Xubuntu 22.04 which also worked fine.

Build quality is good and the ear pads are very soft and don’t irrate your head / ears, the headband doesn’t hurt your head and the mic comes in 2 forms, Short or with the boom or alternatively none and a rubber plug is provided to block the mic port. The RGB feature is also a nice touch with the LED running in either static mode or it can cycle (Rainbow mode).

How does it sound?

Compared to my previous headset the SXFI Air Gamer is a massive improvement. The clarity in everything is beyond my expectations and due to the USB connection I am getting no interference / feedback down the line. (Analogue vs digital transmission, the interals of the SXFI are not causing any feedback). I’ll try the setup apps and stuff at some point but right now its working fine out of the box so until then…
